The Horrane (Phobocebus hamungulus) is a species of swift carnivorous primates which inhabit the African savannas circa 50 million years in the future.
Biology[]
These striped quadrupeds are descended from tree-dwelling apes and engage in knuckle-walking. They operate as ambush predators and are able to kill prey much larger than themselves, such as the local Gigantelopes. Their method of killing involves leaping on the prey's back or neck and inflicting deep wounds with their razor-sharp claws. Like most modern primates, Horranes live in family groups.
