Human Scale Parasites, or HSPs for short, were brought to Manhattan during the Cloverfield Incident by a newborn Kishin.
Overview[]
Approximately 2,000 of these creatures appeared in New York during the Cloverfield Incident. They hunt in packs, preferring enclosed spaces in order to ambush their prey. Their bite is toxic due to its yellowish saliva. Within 20-40 minutes, a bite victim will start to feel disoriented, bleeding from the eyes, nose, mouth and ears, finally culminating in a bloody explosion of the abdomen. Exposing the wound to water will speed up the process. They can also scale walls, ceilings, as well as jumping very far. It is unknown how HSPs track their prey.Since they live in water they are crustaceans
