The Hyde is the mutation of a human being that can periodically transform into a repulsive, fearsome beast. While it lays dormant until when it has been unleashed by either any traumatic event, chemical inducement or hypnosis.
Roughly over thirty years ago; back in 1994, all notable members were banished from Nevermore Academy due to reasons that are unknown.
Biology[]
Hydes are a predatory species of murderous creature, although they share a strong unwilled bond with a liberator who acts as their own master. Once they've completely transformed, they're substantially more powerful than ever before; while as a monster, they have pale grey skin, long claws, fanged teeth and massive bulging eyes. They can lay dormant for unknowably sometime until eventually they're unleashed through various reasons including traumatic events, chemicals and hypnotism. Their diet is mainly carnivorous while in monster form.
Culture and society[]

The Hyde as illustrated in Nathaniel Faulkner's diary.
In most cases, the Hyde is an aggressively ferocious and violent mutant which generally attacks and kills just about anybody on sight; brutally tearing its victims apart into pieces. Only a specific person of whom has unlocked a Hyde's true nature, would therefore make the creature itself their bondservant and they themselves will become its master.
Unlike all other outcasts, there are basically no books or any recorded information about Hydes, only but a single journal written by Nathaniel Faulkner who apparently was murdered by a Hyde while he'd been studying them for his own research. Sometime ago, dating back in late 1994, all Hydes were ultimately exiled from Nevermore by Principal Weems.
Known Hydes[]
Notes[]
- The monster is loosely based on the character from Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1886 novella; entitled The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
