The Ice Queen is a female member of an unnamed humanoid predatory species from the Pleistocene Epoch.

Biology[]

At the start of the film, the Ice Queen has the appearance of a modern human. Later on, she has undergone a transformation, possibly in response to the threat of the thermal stasis, she now has red eyes, blue-grey skin and messy hair. Her internal structure is significantly different from other mammals, lacking a circulatory system and having a viscous fluid similar to an insect instead. Unlike all other animals and presumably like the rest of her species, she has evolved to be more active in the cold and grows sluggish in heat. Her optimal body temperature is -34°F or -36.6°C, which, coincidentally, is approximately 66°F or 36.6°C below freezing where as human body temperature is 66°F or 36.6°C above freezing. She is a predator and neutralizes her prey by puncturing the skin and freezing them from the inside out due to her low body temperature.

History[]

The Ice Queen was found in the Amazon Rainforest so well preserved that she was still alive in 2005. She was loaded onto a plain for transport by a doctor who wanted to study her and a independent contractor who wanted to sell her. A malfunction with the stasis chamber wakes her up and she kills the pilot causing the plane to crash into a mountain resulting in an avalanche that buries a mostly empty ski resort. She proceeds to skill several of the employees before being melted in a hot tub. After her death, the doctor is show recovering a piece of her remains.
