Jolteon is an Electric-type Pokémon species and the result of an Eevee being exposed to a Thunder Stone to trigger its evolution into this specific form (as other types of stones or conditions will generate different results).
Biology[]
As noted above, Jolteon's juvenile stage is Eevee: a Pokémon known for its highly-adaptable genetic structure, which can evolve into many different forms depending on environmental factors. Like all Eevee-derived Pokémon, this species has a gender ratio of seven males to just one female.
Jolteon is a medium-sized, fox-like quadruped with long ears, spiky yellow fur and a white mane. It's also the only Eevee-derived form that has no long tail. As an electric-type Pokémon, its body can generate lightning bolts of about 10,000 volts to attack opponents. When it charges, it accumulates negative ions on its fur and the surrounding atmosphere, which results in a sparking noise. At the same time, its fur can becomes sharp and hardened like electrically-charged needles, which it can shoot towards its enemies in battle. Since the electricity originates from an organ inside the Pokémon's lung, it may also produce a crackling sound when it exhales.
Jolteon has been described as a very sensitive creature, prone to episodes of sadness or anger, which invariably leads to charging up.
Eevee has its own Z-Crystal which is called Eevium Z.
Some Eevee are capable of temporarily assuming a Gigantamax form when they Dynamax. They cannot evolve.
