Karathen is an ancient sea monster that appeared in the 2018 DC film Aquaman.
Overview
Known as the guardian for the trident of Atlantis in the hidden sea for thousands of years, Karathen was believed by the Atlanteans to be the guardian of their city and could one day rise up from the depths to signal Atlantis' uprising from its watery exile.
When Arthur Curry encountered her, she would assist him with his quest to prevent the war between the surface world and the sea.
