Karl Ruprecht Kroenen in the the 2004 film Hellboy
Karl Ruprecht Kroenen was a Nazi scientist, who notably wore a gas mask and protective bodysuit, likely due to severe obsessive-compulsive disorder and fear of bacterial infection. He is a recurring villain in the Hellboy-comics.
Overview[]
Kroenen was notably part of Project Ragna Rok, working alongside Grigori Rasputin, Klaus Werner von Krupt, Leopold Kurtz and Ilsa Haupstein. The projects goal was to summon the Ogdru Jahad to Earth and lead the Nazis to victory, but appeared as a failure.
As the Second World War heading to it's ending and Germany's defeat was sealed, Rasputin proposed that Kroenen, Kurtz and Haupstein would freeze themselves so that they could serve him and the Seven Gods of Chaos when the time would be right again.
