The Kraken, a.k.a. Devilfish, is a sapient giant sea monster from the north Atlantic Ocean which terrorized the small town of Krakenstadt for decades. It has the ability to telepathically possess humans, grant eternal life to its servants, and exert control over the weather.
Biology[]
The Kraken is an enormous sea creature resembling a cephalopod with a fish-like face and multiple yellow eyes. Its diet consists of fish.
It can psychically control the minds of humans by putting them into a kind of trance, and is also capable of supernatural feats such as keeping Edgar Volgud alive long past his natural lifespan. It seems to exert control over the weather, creating a perpetual fog over the town, in which the sun hasn't shone for years. After the Kraken is destroyed, the fog is lifted and Volgud's body crumbles to dust.
