Krakkens are a species of large, aquatic animals which inhabit the oceans of Earth in a distant future. In spite of their name, they are not mollusks, but mammals, whose faces are dominated by long modified whiskers used to feed on plankton.
Krakkens are social animals and take care of their young. Cubs are born without whiskers, and thus depend on their mothers' milk to survive.
