Ledian is a Bug/Flying-type Pokémon species, whose juvenile stage is known as Ledyba.
Biology[]
Members of this species are bipedal beetles, about 1.4 meters in height, and use their four arms to attack opponents by punching. They inhabit forested areas, where they spend the days resting inside oversized leaves or curled up in grass, and fly out at night under the starlit sky.
Curiously, they use starlight as a source of energy, although they also enjoy berries. For this reason, members of this species can be found in great numbers in places where the skies are clean and stars fill up the skies at night. The dark patterns on their backs increase or decrease in size according to the amount of stars visible (and thus the amount of starlight available).
They also produce a glowing powder which tends to be scattered over the forest as they fly. To have this powder stuck on oneself is considered a sign of good luck by some people.
Ledyba[]

Ledian's juvenile stage, Ledyba, is noted as a highly gregarious creature and tends to form huge communities, especially during the winter as they stay close together to conserve heat. They communicate with each other by scents produced by special glands at the base of their legs. Unlike their imago stage, they are still hexapedal.
