Lindworms are large serpentine dragons said to originate either from British or Norwegian regions.
Biology[]
Lindworms are reptilian creatures with elongated bodies and only one pair of limbs, which are equipped with deadly claws or talons. Like snakes, they shed their skin periodically. Some Lindworms may produce poisonous fumes or fire from their mouths.
Traditionally, Lindworms have been regarded as wingless and amphibious, similar to the classic sea serpents. However, in some cases, they have been depicted with wings, thus making them pretty much identical to a wyvern.
Young Lindworms are born very small; comparable to a typical lizard; but can grow up to 3 or even 6 meters in length upon reaching adulthood, at which point they may become so voracious as to devour an entire ox per day.
