Ludmilla was originally a royal adviser to Prince Ivan Romanov in Moscow, and was turned into a fire-breathing dragon after drinking a potion made by Baba Yaga.

Biography[]

Ludmilla and her servant Vol secretly abducted the Prince and framed the witch Baba Yaga as the culprit, as Ludmilla planned to inherit the crown and rule over Russia with an iron fist. To drive suspicions away, she sent off Bartok the Magnificent to Baba Yaga's forest, to battle the witch and rescue the Prince, knowing that he would fail. Afterwards, she believed the people would accept the Prince as dead and not question her rulership.

Much to her surprise, however, Bartok returned, having passed many secret tests that proved his value as a potential hero to Baba Yaga, who revealed the Prince's true location to him. The witch also gave Bartok a potion that could turn the user into what he or she truly is inside.

Ludmilla locked Bartok and Vol in the same tower as the Prince and stole the potion for herself, believing it would give her even more power. In a way, she was right, as the potion turned her into a vicious fire-breathing dragon that terrorized the city. After escaping with the help of his friend Zozi, Bartok managed to lure Ludmilla away and tricked her into destroying the tower that was now being filled with water. The ensuing flood killed Ludmilla and put out the flames, saving the Muscovite citizens.
