Maldor the Malevolent is a powerful demonic spirit and one of the thirteen ghosts who have been imprisoned within the Chest of Demons, and were later unwittingly released by Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers.

Biology

His physical appearance is reminiscent of a dark demonic wizard with a large mane of greyish hair and a pair of long white horns. His face is entirely black, as if hidden by a shadow, and only his yellow eyes are visible. His eyes turn from yellow to red when he's casting a particularly powerful spell.

Abilities

Maldor's black magic can make vegetation decay, transform entire landscapes into ruins, turn a rabbit into a dragon and trees into monsters. His powers also allow him to shapeshift, teleport at will, increase in size gigantically, put people into a deep trance from which they can only be awakened by the kiss of a Danish prince, and shoot purple light beams from his hands, which can easily disintegrate stone.

History

After being released from the Chest of Demons, Maldor assumed control of the castle of Princess Esmeralda by putting her into a deep trance. He also imprisoned Zagraz the wizard, as he planned to find and steal Zagraz's wonder wand in order to become powerful enough to take over the world.
