Manda ia a giant serpentine sea dragon, which is revered as a god by the people of the undersea empire of Mu. Its primary means of attack is constriction, as it can coil its body around submarines or other large structures and crush them. In later works, it gained extra weapons such as fireballs in videogames or sonic cannon in the ofiicial novelization of anime movie series. It seems vulnerable to (or at least can be harmed by) electricity and cold, however.
History[]
The Manda that appeared in Atragon was apparently frozen to death by the title submarine's Absolute Zero Cannon, and is likely not the same individual that was later seen inhabiting Monsterland in Destroy All Monsters, which is set in the year 1999, over 35 years after the events of the first film. This second Manda, unlike the original one, is seen crawling around on land and appears far less hostile (attacking only while under the control of the Kilaakians).
