The Mantacorn is a species of oceanic predators which can be found in Merroway Cove. It looks like a large brown manta ray with sharp teeth and a single horn resembling a narwhal tusk on its forehead.
Biology[]
Mantacorns shed their horns every year, but enjoy keeping their old horns around as treasure. Merpeople are known to use discarded Mantacorn horns to make musical instruments.
Mantacorns are described as fierce and dangerous creatures, only safe to approach while sleeping. Attempting to steal their treasured horn collection is sure to result in an attack. Otherwise, however, they can be reasoned with and even befriended. They feed principally on pufferfish.
