The Megapede is a hybridized mutated daikaiju, speculated to have DNA from both centipedes and cicadas. Its larval form is a burrowing centipede-like creature, while its imago resembles a cicada.
Biology[]
The larval form of this creature resembles a burrowing oversized centipede, hence its name. Unlike a centipede, however, it is herbivorous, devouring crops at an alarming pace. It can shoot poisonous barbs, and also spits toxic foam from its mouth. In this form, it is vulnerable to electricity.
When it's ready, it cocoons itself and metamorphosizes into its flying imago form, which is no longer vulnerable to electricity and closely resembles a cicada.
