Megapede dereponecis ("Creeping-death Giant-feet") is one of the largest megapedes of Skull Island.
Overview[]
Because of its weight, it is too heavy to haul itself high into the trees. Instead they live in rotten logs and hunt among the roots for small prey, including baby dinosaurs and fallen bird chicks, which it quickly immobilizes with its deadly and fast-acting venom which could kill a victim in seconds or minutes. Babies are born in fallen rotten logs. They are particularly territorial during this time, attacking any intruders that threaten their growing offsprings.
