Meowstic is a Psychic-type Pokémon species originally identified in Kalos. It has a juvenile stage known as Espurr. This Pokémon is known for its sexual dimorphism which affects its abilities as well as its physical appearance.
Biology[]
Espurr and Meowstic are feline bipeds with long ears that are normally kept folded. When they unfold their ears, their psychic abilities intensify considerably. Wild populations of this species can be found in Kalos and Galar.
Espurr[]
Despite being only 30 cm tall and weighing about 3.5 kg, the juvenile stage of this species is known for being capable of unleashing extraordinary psychic power from the organs hidden in the interior surface of its folded ears. It is fortunate that the ears are typically kept closed, as Espurr has very little control over its powers and is capable of releasing enough energy to blast everything within a 90 meters radius of itself. It has grey fur and lilac-colored eyes. The rare shiny variant is pink, rather than grey.
Meowstic[]
When Espurr evolves into Meowstic, it doubles in height and more than doubles in weight. Its ears grow much longer, its tail splits into two bushy tails, and its fur becomes white and dark blue. In the rare shiny variant, the blue parts are yellow instead. Males and females differ, with the male being mostly blue with a white collar and paws, and the female being the opposite. The male's eyes are green with light-blue sclerae, and the female's are red with yellow sclerae.
The hidden organs that generate their psychic powers are located close to the tips of their long ears and resemble eyes. Therefore, when the ears are unfolded, they resemble eyestalks. Like Espurr, the power they release is exceptionally strong and can obliterate a 10-ton truck completely. Males and females differ in terms of disposition as well, with the males being more defensive and the females more aggressive.
