Mewtwo is a genetically-engineered Psychic-type Pokémon species created from fossilized genetic material from a Mew. It is an extremely rare species and widely regarded as one of the most powerful Pokémon.
Biology[]
Unlike Mew, Mewtwo is a two-meters tall, bipedal digitigrade with white skin and a purple abdomen and tail. Like Mew it possesses a vaguely feline head, a long tail, a vaguely macropodine body and three digits on its hands and feet. It also possesses the same psychokinetic abilities of its parent species and is one of the few Pokémon capable of speaking human languages (which it does by means of telepathy). Dialogue from the Pokémon movie also suggests that Mewtwo is capable of regeneration. It has been observed to fly, create seastorms and to effortlessly erase memories from people and Pokémon. Its behavior further differs it from Mew, which is a relatively friendly creature, as Mewtwo has been described as vicious.
When exposed to Mewtwonite X or Mewtwonite Y, it will temporarily transform into Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y respectively.
