The Moray are a race of creatures living deep in the ocean, beyond the domains of the Merpeople.
Biology[]
Their appearance is similar to that of Merpeople, but with black eel tails, green skin, pointed ears, and the ability to release discharges of electricity, which are strong enough to knock a victim unconscious.
Culture and society[]
The Moray are ruled by a king, and use large nets for hunting. They speak the same language as the other sea creatures, but generally regard Merpeople as a myth and are scared of them.
History[]
Generations ago, a war broke out between the Moray and the Merpeople; the latter led by an ancestor of King Triton. The Merpeople emerged victorious and their king created a barrier of dark water to isolate the Moray city from the rest of the sea.
