Muscular toads are a species of muscular and usually aggressive amphibians native of Smileyland in the French TV show Kaeloo.
Biology[]
Muscular toads are large, bipedal and strong toads. They are usually green (some members can be blue) with a light yellow belly, palms and soles. They have yellow spots on their back. They have big muscular arms with human-like hands with four nailed digits and short amphibian legs and feet with three digits. Their mouth has misaligned teeth and a blue tongue. They have a poor oral hygiene. Their eyes are usually red with purple eyelids. Some of them have haircut or facial hair (prehistoric members have several body hair along with a haircut). Like most characters in the series, they have large black floating eyebrows.
The frog form that some of them have is two time shorter and thinner. It kept the same color scheme except it has a red tongue, red spirals on its cheeks and lacks the yellow spots and the purple eyelids. It has not visible muscles and nails and its teeth are aligned. In the blue variation, the spirals are purple.
A subspecies called Dragulus crapus magnificus is identical to the muscular toad except it has big black bull horns and tiny bat wings with purple patagium. It can also breath fire.
Muscular toads are generally aggressive in nature but some of them are friendly (like Kaeloo and Kévin), so they often hide their real appearance in the guise of a small sympathetic frog in the attempt to make friends. But this transformation is not permanent and they show their real form once they are angry and became aggressive. They can also transform for protecting their friends or cheating in a game. Some unusual cases are harmless in their toad form and aggressive in their frog appearance. A prehistoric member is shown to be able to transform from toad to frog once being intimidate.
Muscular toads are omnivore and are shown eating sheep, flies, apples, chips, sausages, cereals and ceramic bowl.
