This is an unnamed species of tail-less mammalian carnivores from an unspecified equatorial rainforest. They're the natural predators of the Nubbins and share their prey's ability to turn themselves invisible.
Although the predator will naturally prey upon individual Nubbins, a large enough group of Nubbins is capable of fighting back and actually devouring the predator, thus reversing their natural roles in ecology.
