The Octaman is a man-sized, mutant humanoid octopus which feels as comfortable on land as it does underwater. It inhabited a lake in rural Mexico and was mutated by radioactive pollution.
Biology[]
It has light-brown skin and a roughly humanoid body, with four long tentacles in place of arms and the remaining four having partially fused in two to form a pair of legs. Its arm tentacles are strong enough to easily kill a human being. It has bulging orange eyes and a circular mouth which appears to possess sharp teeth, rather than a typical cephalopod beak. It's also been shown to act protectively towards the smaller octopuses.
Although Octaman has been seen active at day as well as during the night, it is vulnerable to bright lights.
Notes[]
- In real life, there aren't any known cephalopod species in freshwater.
- If the point-of-view camera is to be trusted, Octaman appears to have compound vision; another feature not shared with real life octopuses.
- The Octaman is also notable for its apparent obsession with trying to abduct Susan Lowry. Curiously, Harry Essex also co-wrote the script for Creature from the Black Lagoon, starring another amphibious beast with a knack for abducting beautiful human girls.
