“ | I am Owl. It is my name as well as my nature. There are birds of prey in my family going back hundreds of years, one every two or three generations. Others of my family shift to dog- or cat-kind, a few to hoofed or finned beasts. |

Owl Tycho is an American girl who is secretly a Wereowl, being able to shape-shift into a barn owl at will. The origins of this condition are seemingly genetic: although her parents are regular humans, other members of her family have been born with various types of therianthropy for generations.
Biology[]
At 14 years of age, Owl's appearance is normal enough that she can pass off as a regular human girl, although she does have some inhuman aspects to her physiology. Most notably, she has black-colored blood, which gives her skin a natural grayish tint which is considered unhealthy-looking; especially when she's angry or embarrassed.
Her face is wide and heart-shaped, as her hairline forms a prominent widow's peak. Her eyes are large and yellow, and her hair has been described as falling in "soft, feathery, brown wisps" around her neck and shoulders.
She can shape-shift into a barn owl voluntarily, at any time of the day, but her owl-related physiological traits; such as the inability to digest human food; are permanent. She can only consume living or freshly-preserved prey, such as mice or snakes; the same that a regular owl would feed on.
She also has a heightened sense of hearing, and a natural aversion to being inside moving vehicles, such as cars and buses, which cause her to feel nauseous.
Personality[]
Owl's owl-like nature extends to her personality as well. She is naturally isolated and takes a lot of time to bond with someone. Even though she means well, she will rarely show signs of friendship or affection, except towards a few select individuals.
History[]
Owl lives in an old mansion in the state of New York with her parents, who fancy themselves as potion makers, but don't actually have any supernatural or magical abilities.
