Pachirisu is an Electric-type Pokémon species first identified in the Sinnoh region, and believed to be distantly related to other Electric-type rodent Pokémon such as Raichu, Emolga, Dedenne and Togedemaru.
Biology[]
Pachirisu is a medium-sized arboreal Pokémon that resembles a white squirrel. Its triangular ears are light-blue in coloration, and it also has a light-blue stripe running all the way from the back of its head down to the tip of its tail. Female's head stripe is shorter. In the shiny variant, the stripe and ears are light-pink instead.
Pachirisu produces electricity with the yellow pouches on its cheeks, and usually shoots discharges from its tail. Sometimes, two Pachirisu will be seen rubbing their cheeks together to share stored energy.
This species is known to make fur balls filled with static electricity, which are stored alongside its food supply of berries in the tree holes that serve as its nest. That way, anyone who tries to steal food from a Pachirisu will be literally shocked.
Besides Sinnoh, wild populations of Pachirisu may also be found in some routes in the regions of Unova and Kalos.
