Philo and Gunge are a couple of small mammals which act as loyal acolytes of Marjory the Trash Heap.
They're quadrupedal rat-like creatures with bulging eyes, no visible ears, pointed teeth, tapir-like snouts and long tails. Philo has pink fur and two teeth, while Gunge has grey fur and a single tooth. Long ago, another member of their species acted as a beloved and revered king of the Doozers.
Philo and Gunge don't remember their home prior to meeting Marjory, which was an ordinary trash heap who became alive after the pair made it their home. Marjory now cares for them and tells stories for them to sleep.
