Pinocchio is the main protagonist of the children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio (1883) by Italian writer Carlo Collodi.
History[]
He is a wooden puppet created by an elderly man named Geppetto, but he doesn't want to be a toy forever and wishes to become a real boy. His nose becomes larger whenever he tells a lie (which he does frequently), but he was then trained by the Fairy with Turquoise Hair to speak the truth.
