Pulgasari is a humanoid kaiju that appears in a 1985 North Korean kaiju film of the same name.
Overview[]
He appears to have a minotaur like appearance only except being much larger, long horns, dark scales located all around his body except for his gold underbelly which turns out to be his armor. He was created by a blacksmith by being originated from being a small figurine, he came to life in contact to the blacksmith's daughter.

- He was one of the few kaijus that originate outside of Japan.
- Pulgasari was portrayed by Japanese actor, Kenpachiro Satsuma who also portrayed Godzilla in the Showa and Heisei series.
- Since Kim Jong il was the fan of Godzilla, he ordered his agents to kidnap South Korean film director Shin Sang-ok and his wife Choi Eun-hee where Shin would be forced to make films for North Korea including Pulgasari.
- The film has been infamously known for being a Godzilla rip-off.
- Pulgasari's role and origin seemed to be very similar to a another kaiju, Daimajin.
