Pyukumuku is a Water-type Pokémon species from the Alolan archipelago.
Biology[]
Pyukumuku is a small legless creature, resembling a sea cucumber. Its body is black in coloration and oval-shaped. Three pairs of blunt spikes protrude from its back, and its fluffy white tail resembles that of a rabbit. Its spikes and eyes are magenta. Its mouth is shaped like a dai kanji (大). The rare shiny variant of this species has green skin and yellow spikes.
Despite its harmless appearance and inability to learn any damaging moves, Pyukumuku is known for the strange ability to extrude its internal organs in the form of a white, hand-shaped appendage from its mouth, usually in the shape of a fist, which can be used to punch other creatures. It inhabits shallow seas and can often be found foraging on beaches, where people have a tradition of picking them up and throwing them back in the sea.
The mucus secreted by Pyukumuku is very useful for treating sunburns, and its Purify ability allows it to heal the status conditions of other Pokémon.
