Q*bert is a creature who first appeared in the 1982 video game of the same name.
Overview[]
He's a bipedal creature with a tubular nose-like mouth and he can only move just by hopping diagonally. The player that controls him starts at the top of the pyramid of 28 cubes, if he lands on a cube, it will change its color, so once every color has been changed, he will move on to the next round. If he is caught by a bad guy, he spouts an intelligible noise with a speech bubble with random symbols, implying swearing.
Notes[]
- In "Super Saturcade", his species is referred to as "Nosers", however in "Q*bert Rebooted", his species is explicitly referred to as "Q*bert". For example, the character "Q*bot" is stated to be "Half Q*bert, half machine". Implying that "Q*bert" is indeed the name of his species, similar to Yoshi.
- In the film "Wreck-It Ralph", the noise and speech balloon with symbols are portrayed as merely his language, referred to as "Q*bertese".
