Qwilfish is a Water/Poison-type Pokémon species, originally identified in the Johto region.
Biology[]
Members of this species are spherical in shape with numerous spikes on their bodies, giving them some resemblance to a porcupinefish. They also have a vertical paddle-shaped tail. Their spikes are actually modified scales. Their eyes have white sclerae and comparatively small black pupils, and their lips are pink.
Their primary means of attack is to inflate their bodis by swallowing up to 2.6 gallons of water (~ 10 litres) and shooting out poisonous quills at their opponents. Because of their non-hydrodynamic shape, they are in fact poor swimmers.
Wild populations of this species are found in the seas around Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos.
