This unnamed ghost appears in an infamous 2013 Autoway commercial from Japan.

Overview[]

She appears to be a humanoid spirit with black hair, pale skin, and a white dress. Although she looks similar to Yuki-onna, her mouth appears to be damaged (possibly as a result of being a victim of a hit and run from faulty tires). She also appeared to have dark lifeless eyes.

Before the commercial starts, there was a warning for the viewers that it is not for the faint of heart, the commercial then begins with two men traveling in the car through the deserted snowy road. The driver stops as the two encountered a ghoulish figure in the middle of the road. As the two were concerned while they were trying to drive back slowly, the ghost unpredictably slams the windshield shocking the viewers and the men, this leaves the men driving back away in fear before the scene cuts to the black screen with the sentence meaning "Snowy roads are scary". The last part ends with the ghost holding the laptop which reads "Have you put your winter tires in your car?".

Notes[]

  • Before the commercial was created, there has been reports of serious car crashes without winter tires during winter in Japan.[1]
  • The commercial was stated to be "the most scariest commercial ever made".

Could it scare others?[]

Scare Factor: Nightmare, to the point to go almost off the scale. This is considered infamous to be one of - if not - the scariest commercial ever made, even beating the K-fee ads from Germany, due to the darkness, the creepy ambient, and, of course, the jumpscare of the ghost. You should not watch this if you're faint-hearted, or else there will be large trouble.
