Sea Vultures are a species of large carrion birds that inhabit the volcanic Faranga Island, located at 21°19' North and 157°50' West. They are not an uncommon sight across the island, frequently seen squatting on boulders awaiting their next meal to pass by. Hungry individuals become weak, and often will flock to the beaches to feast upon corpses and presumably other organic matter that has washed ashore. Although their wings appear large enough for powered flight they seem to prefer to walk, indicating that they may be evolving toward flightlessness.

They are likely a bane of local farmers, as they are quite commonly found with raw chicken in their gullet.
While fast and able to cover ground and strike quite quickly, they are not strategically intelligent and those defending themselves against one or more of them simply should defend themselves until the Sea Vultures themselves have attacked, and then sidestep and attack their side.
