The serpent-people are a sapient species of reptilian creatures, originally from prehistoric Antarctica. When Antarctica started to freeze, they migrated northward, along with a tribe of humans with which they were allied, to colonize South America, in the region that became known as Yu-Atlanchi.
The serpent-people are now almost extinct, with the last known individual being Adana, a.k.a. the Snake Mother.
Biology[]
Serpent-people resemble, and are believed to have inspired, the legendary Nāga. They have a humanoid head, arms and torso connected to the body of a gigantic snake covered in scales. Their skin is the color of rose-tinted pearls. Their eyes are round and bright purple, and the face is a combination of human and reptilian features.
Despite being evolved from reptiles, they also have some mammalian traits, such as breasts, silver-colored hair on their heads, and a small heart-shaped mouth with scarlet lips. The tongue is slender, pointed and bright red. They have telepathic abilities that enable them to communicate with other beings' minds remotely.
