Silverswimmers are a highly diversified group of neotenic crustaceans which fill up the global ocean of the Earth circa 200 million years in the future.

Biology[]

Silverswimmers, named for their silvery carapaces, represent an example of neoteny, as they maintain a larval-like form throughout their adult lives. In their case, they resemble crustacean larvae, and fulfill the basic ecological niches of modern fish, as free-swimming pelagic plankton-feeders which often form shoals. They're preyed by the Ocean Flish and Sharkopaths.

Other species of Silverswimmers have evolved as benthonic creatures, predators or scavengers. Together, Silverswimmers are the most abundant life forms in the global ocean.
