The Sphinx, a.k.a. the Unknown God of the Dead, is a giant monstrous creature that dwells in Egypt and is worshiped by the undead. It is believed to be the monster that the Great Sphinx of Giza originally represented, before the pharaoh Khephren ordered its visage rebuilt to resemble his own.

An army of undead ghouls and hybrid human-animal mummies, led by Khephren himself, worships the Sphinx in deep subterranean catacombs and makes offerings of food to it.

Biology[]

The Sphinx is an immense creature: a single paw is as large as a hippopotamus. It is covered in yellowish fur. Its paws have five digits with retractable claws.
