The Striger (Saevitia feliforme) is an arboreal predator which inhabits tropical rain forests in Africa and Asia, about 50 million years in the future.
A descendant of modern cats, the Striger's ancestors diverged from the rest of the feline family about 20 million years after mankind's era. It has since become the last member of the feline lineage, and probably one of the strangest.
Biology[]
Like its ancestors, the Striger is an obligate carnivore, and most of its diet consists of tree-dwelling primates, such as the Khiffah and the Clatta. Curiously, it has evolved to move much like its prey, and is capable of brachiation. Its paws have opposable grasping digits, and its tail is likewise prehensile. It still possesses dangerous fangs and claws which allows it to take its prey down easily.
