The Swimming Monkey (Natopithecus ranapes) is an amphibious African primate from the world of 50 million years in the future. It is a descendant of the modern-day swamp monkeys (Allenopithecus nigroviridis).
Biology[]
As their name indicates, Swimming Monkeys live by riverside trees and sustain themselves with a mostly piscivorous diet. Their feet are webbed, while the hands possess claws to help them catch fish. As they have lost their tail in evolution, they now swim in a manner reminiscent of a frog.
