Sylveon is a Fairy-type Pokémon species and the result of an Eevee being leveled up while knowing at least one Fairy-type move and having at least two levels of Affection, to trigger its evolution into this specific form (as other conditions will generate different results instead).

Biology[]

As noted above, Sylveon's juvenile stage is Eevee: a Pokémon known for its highly-adaptable genetic structure, which can evolve into many different forms depending on environmental factors. Like all Eevee-derived Pokémon, Sylveon has a gender ratio of seven males to just one female.

Sylveon is a medium-sized quadruped, with a shape reminiscent of a long-eared dog or fox. Its coloration is white and pink and it possess large, pupil-less light-blue eyes as well as bow and ribbon-shaped feelers on its neck and left ear. This gives off the appearance that it's actually wearing bows, although these are just natural parts of its body.

Sylveon has a number of different uses for its ribbon-like feelers. Besides being sensorial structures, they produce a soothing effect, which can tranquilize people and calm down disputes. This Pokémon is also known to wrap its feelers around the arm of a beloved trainer as it walks along with them. Additionally, it uses its feelers to hunt by distracting potential prey and using the soothing effect to cause the prey to let down its guard.

Pokédex entries suggest that this is a courageous Pokémon, as it won't hesitate to charge at Dragon-type Pokémon that are several times larger than itself (although it should be noted that its Fairy-type confers it a natural advantage against Dragon-types).

Eevee has its own Z-Crystal which is called Eevium Z.

Some Eevee are capable of temporarily assuming a Gigantamax form when they Dynamax. They cannot evolve.
