Tamatoa is a villain who appeared in a 2016 Disney film, Moana.
Overview[]
Tamatoa was an enormous coconut crab who lives in the realm of monsters. Before the events of the film, they used to be small, ate his grandmother and stole Maui's fishhook. They appear in the film, where they grab Moana and toys her around while singing Shiny, before they were going to devour her, they were stopped by Maui. While Maui tried to transform into an eagle which it didn't help, Tamatoa continued singing and sadistically toys around Maui until he saw the heart of Te Fiti, they grabbed it only to find out that it was a pebble in green algae. They furiously tried to stop the duo, but was dropped down by Maui and left to lay down. In a post-credits scene, they broke the fourth wall, by telling the viewers to help them. It is unknown what happened to them after that.
