The Appetizer is a monstrous amalgam of questionable culinary ingredients, and the unforeseen result of Mr. Krabs' attempt to cook a fine hors d'oeuvre. The monster gained life as a ravenous beast which escaped the kitchen. Its rampage contributed to the chaos that was already reigning in the restaurant due to SpongeBob's mental breakdown.
