The Monstrosity is a mysterious and hideously unstoppable non-corporeal being who takes upon itself the ambition of murdering people which results in a form of "curse" thus can longingly pass from victims like a disease as it manifests.
Biology[]
A shapeshifter, the Monstrosity has been shown in taking on many different shapes of whomever is nearby while, in its real form, this particular creature has no actual physicality soever: appearing as a tall, skinless humanoid abomination with multiple mouths containing teeth and it also has elongated limbs. Although when it revealed itself to Skye Riley during her concert, its appearance was now strikingly more divergent than before; presumably due to the amount of souls from people whom it has already consumed.
As a testimony to its presence, generally it cannot be seen by everybody thus only those whom fall victim to the Monstrosity where it would notify itself to someone typically by giving them an uncanny looking smile while disguised in a different form and whenever it has managed to take possession of others, like with Rose Cotter and Skye Riley; where it opened their mouths abnormally wide and had entered inside. The Monstrosity can transfer the curse down from one human to another intelligibly by murdering its previous victim brutally thus having them commit suicide in various ways once it has complete control over their body, following upon revealing itself to victims as it would gruesomely tear off the outer flesh from its own falsely formed body, sending that person deeply into an immobilizing trance.
History[]
While so far, both the individuality and origins of the Monstrosity are not known; either it might have came from outer space, an alternate dimension or possibly the very depths of Hell. At some point it began habitually torturing people throughout extreme horrid trauma in order to survive: where it will continuously move from one person to another in which case, it manifests as a series of unimaginable, blood-curdling hallucinations towards victims and would eventually therefore lead to insanity.
The Monstrosity exhibited as a purgatory dream of Laura Weaver, portraying a therapist named Dr. Parsons in which was nobody she knew. Upon realizing, the room had been transformed into more decayed version where the Monstrosity soon revealed itself to Laura. Sometime later, Laura went to see Dr. Rose Cotter, a psychiatrist who greeted her and was informed that she was being haunted when it assumed control of Laura's body and then killed herself, therefore passing the curse onto Rose like a virus.
It began toying with Rose such as making her seem crazy in front of everybody especially her own boyfriend and family. When Rose tried to free herself from the curse after hearing that supposedly without if an already infected host were to murder somebody else and in front of a witness, then it would be passed onto them instead, but had no avail, as the Monstrosity proved itself to be more than potentially unstoppable and nevertheless fooled her. It's also believed that without a host to embody and if a victim were to die without any witnesses, the Monstrosity would surely then cease to although just a conjecture.
Having ran its course and after fooling Rose into thinking she fought back, the Monstrosity exposed itself towards Rose, right before it entered and assumed control over her body where a possessed Rose then lit herself on fire in front Joel of whom the curse was passed onto next. While six days later, Joel came to visit a drug deal where he fatally stabbed a gangster then shot and killed his friend, therefore accidentally cursed Lewis Fregoli before Joel himself met his untimely end when he got hit by a truck whereas the Monstrosity eventually became victimized to a popstar singer named Skye Riley who it made commit suicide near thousands if not hundreds of audiences.
