The Trench are deep sea dwelling creatures that served as one of the antagonists of Aquaman, since Volume 7 #1.
Overview[]
Along with other surviving kingdoms after the destruction of Atlantis, The Trench would ended up adapting itself into a separate race, except turning into feral fish-like humanoids with their own language.
Hence their name, they lived in a trench near the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where they serve the Trench King and Queen whom are different from their race.
