The Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the major dinosaurs featured in the Jurassic Park series.
Overview[]
One of the most famous animals created by InGen, the T. rexes were placed on Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna to be used as attractions for the islands, one of them was successful. Like every other animal in the Jurassic Park saga, the Tyrannosaurus rex was cloned from using the blood of a fossilized mosquito which had fed upon the blood of actual dinosaurs over 100 million years ago and became subsequently trapped in amber. As the DNA remains were fragmented, the scientists mixed it with genes from modern animals to complete the gaps. As a result, the T. rex, like every other dinosaur created by InGen, had many different features that separated it from its real world counterpart, such as males being bulkier with green skin, and females being larger, thinner and with brown skin. The characteristics they both shared in common was having exposed teeth, pronated wrists, movement-based vision, and a thunderous elephantine roar, whereas the real T. rex had lips covering its teeth, supinated wrists, excellent eyesight, and could only rumble.
Rexy, the last T. rex on Isla Nublar was rescued from the island's eruption, taken to Lockwood Manor in Northern California and eventually freed by Maisie Lockwood, she ate Eli Mills alongside a Carnotaurus and walked into the woods after pushing the Carno and roaring in victory. Afterwords, she roamed into a lion enclosure in a Californian zoo and roared at the male Lion's face. 3 years later, she was finally captured and taken to Biosyn Valley, where she defeated another apex predator, the Giganotosaurus and resides with Buck and Doe, who were also transported there.
