Tyrantrum is a Rock/Dragon-type Pokémon species generally considered extinct, although some specimens have been cloned back to life from their fossilized remains. Its juvenile stage is known as Tyrunt.
Biology[]
Originating from the region of Kalos about 100 million years ago, Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are theropod-like digitigrade bipeds. They have muscular legs with three toes equipped with enormous claws, whereas their arms are small and have only two fingers. Although they're mostly covered in armored scales, they also possess feathers forming a ruff-like structure around the base of the neck, and in Tyrantrum's case, a feathery beard adorning its lower jaw and a crown-like crest above its eyes. Its formidable jaws can easily tear apart metal plates. This species has an unbalanced gender ratio consisting of seven males to one female.
Additionally, they're known for their difficult temperament, with Tyrunt being described as "spoiled and selfish" and Tyrantrum taking advantage of its position at the top of the food chain to behave "like a king". It seems to have mostly diurnal habits, as it can only evolve during the day.
It has been theorized that Tyrantrum's original form was completely covered in feathers and that its current appearance is a result of imperfect reconstitution of its genetic material.
