Vaporeon is a Water-type Pokémon known for its ability to dissolve into water at will. It is said that its molecular structure resembles water, giving it the ability to melt into it.

Biology[]

Members of this species can be found resting in lakes and river shores, and show preference for clean and fresh water. They are usually blue, with the shiny variant being magenta.

Their bodies display an amalgam of canine, feline and ichthyoid features, which include a pair of fin-like ears in addition to a head crest, a membranous ruff-shaped structure on the neck and a dorsal crest running from neck to tail.

Vaporeon is a quadruped, with relatively short limbs ending in tridactyl paws. The tail is long and ends in a pair of caudal fins resembling those of a dolphin. Although they're described as having gills, these don't appear to be visible, externally.

Members of this species can also detect the approach of rain, which is signaled when their fins start to vibrate. When they melt into water, they become completely invisible and can control water freely by means of hydrokinesis.

Vaporeon's juvenile stage is called Eevee: a Pokémon known for its highly-adaptable genetic structure, which can evolve into many different forms depending on environmental factors. Exposure to a Water Stone will cause an Eevee to evolve into a Vaporeon, whereas other types of stones will generate different results.

Like all Eevee-derived Pokémon, Vaporeon has a gender ratio of seven males to just one female.

Eevee has its own Z-Crystal which is called Eevium Z.

Some Eevee are capable of temporarily assuming a Gigantamax form when they Dynamax. They cannot evolve.
