Vincent Van Ghoul, originally from Ursolvania, in the Himalayas, is an exceptionally powerful wizard, and highly knowledgeable occultist. As such, he provided valuable assistance and guidance to Scooby-Doo, Shaggy Roggers, Daphne Blake, Scrappy-Doo and Flim-Flam in their quest to recapture the 13 most powerful ghosts of the world, which had escaped from the Chest of Demons.

Recognized internationally as the world's most powerful warlock, Van Ghoul is naturally capable of casting numerous spells, teleporting to distant locations and using crystal balls to project his image and communicate with his associates from afar. He also owns a magical flying carpet.
History[]
Vincent Van Ghoul attended a school called Terror Tech and graduated in 36. When Flim-Flam asked if he meant 1936, Van Ghoul clarified that he meant "just 36", implying that he could be thousands of years old.
