Yanmega is a Bug/Flying-type Pokémon species whose juvenile stage is known as Yanma. However, Yanma can only evolve into the Yanmega stage after learning the move Ancient Power.
Biology[]
This is a large insectoid Pokémon whose body resembles a dragonfly. It is capable of rapidly moving its wings to create devastating shock waves that can dislodge trees, and its mandibles are strong enough to easily tear foes apart.
Wild populations of Yamna can be found in the regions of Johto and Sinnoh, where they prefer to inhabit swampy terrains and make use of their 360 degrees eyesight to locate insects and other prey.

- Although some Pokédex entries explicitly state that Yanmega is strong enough to carry an adult human in flight, this Pokémon cannot learn the move Fly, and therefore can't be used for aerial transportation within the games.
