Zoroark is a Dark-type Pokémon species from Unova. Its juvenile stage is known as Zorua. Members of this species are notable for their ability to cast illusions in order to disguise themselves and trick others.
Biology[]
Zorua and Zoroark are canine Pokémon, similar to dark-grey foxes. They use their illusion-casting abilities to trick opponents in battle and can assume the illusory appearance of another Pokémon. Outside of battle, they are able to appear as humans as well, and to create other types of elaborate illusions, which can be seen by hundreds of people simultaneously. Some individuals can also communicate with humans by telepathy, although not all of them have this ability.
Members of this species have a gender ratio of seven males to one female.
Zorua[]

Zorua
Zoroark's juvenile stage is a quadrupedal fox-like creature which stands about 70 cm in height and weighs 12.5 kg. They use their illusion-casting abilities to assume the form of other Pokémon or humans in order to hide their true identity and protect themselves. They frequently assume the form of a quiet human child.
Sometimes, a Zorua's tail will remain visible when they're disguised as a human, although this isn't known to happen when they're disguised as other Pokémon.
Zoroark[]
When Zorua evolves, it becomes bipedal, loses its tail, and gains three large claws on its hands and feet. The tuft of red fur on its head grows into a voluminous mane which is longer than its entire body. In the rare shiny variant, the mane and claws are purple instead of red.
Zoroark practice parental care and are very protective of their offspring. They are sociable creatures which often live in packs. They create illusory scenery to disguise their territory and protect it against intruders, and punish their enemies by trapping them in an illusion.
